What the engagement may include
Agree the subject, roles, communication and permitted disclosure before transferring substantive documents. Russian legal work can be coordinated with the client’s existing foreign advisers; no referral commission or undisclosed arrangement is offered.
- A dated report or legal opinion identifies the scope, sources, verified facts, conclusions, legal risks, information gaps and recommended next steps. Findings can inform contractual safeguards, additional document requests or a decision to pause the transaction.
- A marked-up or agreed draft, a list of legal risks and open points, and documents for the stages included in the engagement. Material decisions and unresolved issues are discussed before signing.
- A legal position and strategy, documents and representation for the agreed stages. Procedural steps, evidence gaps and recovery risks are discussed before deciding how to proceed.
